Professional Misconduct: Policies on Sexual Harassment and Discrimination
Professional Misconduct: Policies on Sexual Harassment and Discrimination
Friday, February 17, 2017: 8:00 AM-9:30 AM
Room 309 (Hynes Convention Center)
Through a lively discussion, we aim to examine the relationship between sexual harassment and misconduct and how we, as socially conscious scientists, might be able to reframe the concept of professional misconduct in the research setting to include acts of sexual harassment and discrimination. Participants will leave the discussion with a stronger understanding of the existence and impact of sexual harassment and discrimination in the research and professional settings. This comprehensive view is the first step in drafting policies aimed at protecting research and the integrity of science.
