Recent UCS and NOAA analyses found steep increases in the frequency, extent and duration of tidal floods along the US coasts due to sea level rise. The analyses show areas expected to flood with such regularity in decades ahead that their viability as usable space (residential, commercial, etc.) is unclear without major investment. Policy response that can facilitate sound, safe, just, transitions along our coasts in response to tidal flooding and inundations will be presented.
