Coastal managers work to maintain safe habitable coastlines. Those efforts are constrained by state and local political boundary lines. Yet, littoral cells and longshore sediment transport patterns often straddle such boundaries. This research is designed to identify the (mis)matches between current governance boundaries and littoral cells with an eye toward facilitating and improving geomorphologically informed management.
