Research Results: Impact on Scientists Involved in the Portal to the Public Program

Research conducted during the development of the nationally disseminated NSF-funded Portal to the Public program identified key impacts on scientist involvement in interactions with public audiences. These include, among others, impacts on communication skills with the public, on professional conference communication skills, and on the scientists’ desire to share their research and science in general.
