The Navigation Guide: Evidence-Based Medicine Meets Environmental Health

This presentation will describe a case study using the Navigation Guide – a systematic review methodology which integrates best practices from clinical medicine and environmental health. The case study will be of the relationship between prenatal PFOA exposure, a chemical with ubiquitous exposure in the US, and low birth weight. The presentation will illustrate challenges encountered in applying systematic review methodology as well as the benefits over traditional narrative reviews.
