The International Committee for Future Accelerators (ICFA) is an international body charged to promote understanding among countries. As ICFA chair and director of Japan’s key national lab, Professor Suzuki has seen first-hand how ideas turn into projects and global collaborations. He will describe the scientific consensus on the likely successor to the LHC and comment on models for global governance that could involve new or existing labs cooperating at new levels of partnership.
