The Canadian Minister of State (Science and Technology) has recently formed an Expert Panel to examine the federal government's research and development support for private sector innovation in order to increase their impact in this important area. The review is focused on ways to be more effective with current resources and finding ways to deliver better results. This talk will discuss the factors that lead to the formation of this panel, the panel's progress thus far, and what Canada hopes to gain from the Panel's final report.
