Through integrated population, health, and environment programming, multidisciplinary approaches have been explored to promote sustainable development while conserving ecosystems in low-resource settings. The presentation will share early outcomes of programming to reduce dependence on natural resources, promote sustainable ecotourism, and improve access to health services, including family planning, for Ugandan communities in closest proximity to endangered mountainous gorilla habitats.
