Dr. Dirks will focus her introductory remarks and active learning activities on the emerging evidence of best practices, including how active learning can improve learning and performance in biology for the increasingly diverse population of undergraduates. She also will help participants explore the critical importance of aligning learning outcomes with summative assessments.
