Canada is a country of choice for academics and researchers, with a highly intensive and innovative research environment. The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring Canada’s future by investing in innovation and research capacity in priority areas. The workshop will provide an overview of Canada’s academic research environment and examples of leading-edge research taking place in universities across the country. Key information on the various scholarship and grant opportunities for researchers from different regions of the world will be presented, including the Canada Excellence Research Chairs program, the prestigious Vanier and Banting scholarships, and other Government of Canada programs.
