How Early Career Scientists Can Serve Science Through Policy

Friday, February 17, 2017: 3:00 PM-4:00 PM
Room 207 (Hynes Convention Center)
Many young scientists, whether still in training or in the early stages of their careers, aspire to engage with society outside their research labs. How can young scientists find opportunities to contribute to policy decisions or become community advocates while still pursuing their research careers? In this workshop, attendees gain perspectives from both the university setting and outside academia, and explore both existing avenues and new ideas that enable young scientists to serve society through science policy.
