Observing the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse

On August 21st, 2017 there will be a total solar eclipse visible from a vast swath of the United States. This will be the first total solar eclipse to be seen from the continental US in nearly 4 decades, and for many locations it is the first in over a century. Here we discuss why this total solar eclipse is a big deal and what we are doing to prepare the nation.
