From Iran, Amir Seyedmousavi will speak to the role of science diplomacy in bridging gaps between nations with otherwise tumultuous political relations. As a medical microbiologist and Iran’s Young Ambassador of Science at ASM, Amir will speak about his experience as a young science diplomat and how his work has ramifications on meeting local health security challenges, bridging the gap between science and policymakers in Iran, and improving U.S.-Iran relations
