From Pakistan, Tahir Hussein will speak about his research interests in multi-drug resistant pathogens and how he is leveraging his PhD platform to develop strategies to combat AMR by advocating for legislation and a public health antimicrobial advisory board on the national scale. As a 2016 Health Security Futures Fellow, he will speak about locally-owned advocacy on health security threats like AMR can lead to long-term sustainability.
