Surveying Scientific Elites: What Have We Learned?

No prior empirical study has examined how often scientists decline requests to assist in legal matters, nor has prior research asked scientists specifically about what discourages their participation in legal proceedings or what reforms might encourage it. Rick Lempert will continue presenting results from the above American Academy of Arts and Sciences study that sheds light on how and why scientists interact with the legal system and offers guidance on how to improve this relationship.
