Applications of Genome Editing in Humans and Wild Species

Friday, February 17, 2017: 10:00 AM-11:30 AM
Room 302 (Hynes Convention Center)
George Church, Harvard University, Boston, MA
Professor Church will provide examples of cutting edge technologies, including ones that are focused on both human germline modification in basic bench research and on modification of plants and animals, including the use of gene drives to change wild populations. He will focus on applications that are likely to raise social and ethical questions, beyond safety and efficacy.
