Policies That Matter: Changing a System Built for the Students We Wish We Had

With few exceptions, efforts to expand the diversity of the STEM student population and resulting workforce in many sectors have had little impact. The exceptions offer hope that achieving equity in STEM is possible. This presentation will offer insights about what has been learned about exceptional programs and the opportunities and challenges of bringing them to scale based on the interests, concerns, and learning styles of today’s students.
