Effective Practice in Undergraduate Life Sciences Education: The Evolving Evidence

Effective practices in undergraduate education in the life sciences are emerging based increasingly on evidence from discipline-based education research (DBER). This presentation will describe the evolution of DBER in biology and the roles of education journals and disciplinary societies in this process from the perspective of the editor of a leading education journal in the life sciences.
