Ecological intensification, or the improvement of crop yield through enhancement of biodiversity, may be a sustainable pathway towards greater food supplies, yet we know little about the efficacy of this approach. This presentation will cover the key lessons from global syntheses regarding the role of wild and managed pollinators in improving crop productivity for small and large farms, and the global policy response through IPBES.
