Careful field studies on farms worldwide are shedding new light on the important roles pollinators play in sustainable food production. In this talk Kremen will draw on more than 15 years of research to report on the farm- and landscape-scale factors that affect both wild and managed pollinators. She will describe promising techniques for restoring pollinators and their economic benefits to farms, including diversified agriculture, hedgerows, and organic practices. She will show how what is good for pollinators also enhances overall sustainability on the farm.
