The talk will focus on how advancements in web-based surveillance tools could fascilitate a faster and more efficient response to infectious diseases threats, how novel technologies can assist in regional and global infectious disease surveillance aiming to predict or control the next epidemic, and how advances in computational methods have been used in epidemic modeling to enhance our understanding of the drivers and dynamics of infectious diseases outbreaks and emerging pathogens.
