To all intents and purposes, Synchrotron radiation opens the way for a huge number of challenges. And, with a comparable success, Fourier-Transform Infrared spectroscopy deep-rooted its competence among the most demanded techniques. Coupling both, Infrared beamlines are well established in almost all the SR-facilities. In this context, the talk will shed some light on EMIRA, the first completely new designed beamline at SESAME dedicated to infrared spectroscopy and microspectroscopy.
