Building the SESAME Scientific Program
Building the SESAME Scientific Program
Sunday, February 14, 2016: 10:00 AM-11:30 AM
Wilson B (Marriott Wardman Park)
SESAME will start with two beam lines, one an x-ray fluorescence (XRF) beam line with a research program anchored in material science and archeology, the other an infra-red beam line with a research program that also takes in environmental and life sciences. This talk will describe the development of these beam lines and their initial experimental programs. It will also consider the potential for future development: SESAME has the capacity to support up to 30 beam lines.
