Recent developments in multi-dimensional demographic analysis have offered new insights into how the changing composition by age and education can change the character of societies. Increasing human capital has been shown to matter directly for poverty reduction and economic growth, health and longevity as well as climate change adaptations. These studies shed light on synergies between the education SDG and other Goals.
