Countering Misuses of Scientific Findings

The marriage of polarized politics and social and micro-targeted media has increased the likelihood that selective distortions of science will reach susceptible audiences and pollute policy debates. After flagging a number of consequential distortions, this presentation will explore alternative means of correcting them.
