Proposal Budgets A to Z: How to Plan Ahead, Keep Sanity, and Save Time

Few investigators enjoy proposal budgeting and project financial management. This workshop will introduce investigators to the basics of project budgeting. Attendees will learn how to think about budgets conceptually and systematically and discuss tactics and tips to make budgeting less stressful. Presenters will review general budget categories and talk about the differences and similarities in budgeting for federal and private foundation projects. The principle of negotiation anchoring will be introduced as a budgeting tool.
