Hubble's Universe in the Third Dimension

Sunday, 15 February 2015: 1:30 PM-4:30 PM
Room 220B (San Jose Convention Center)
Frank Summers, Space Telescope Science Institute, Baltimore, MD
Hubble images can be used to extend our view of the universe into a third dimension of time and space. Dr. Summers will describe visualizations of changing space phenomena, such as outflowing material from young stars and black holes, and merging galaxies. These images can be further enhanced through application of stereo computer visualization techniques.
