Sunday, 15 February 2015: 8:30 AM-11:30 AM
Room LL21B (San Jose Convention Center)
Peter Kner,University of Georgia, Athens, GA
Having hired a post-doc to do stints in three of the four labs, Peter and Jessica have to resolve how to manage and harness the blinking of quantum dots for STORM and how to target them to the needs of a bioengineer studying cargo transport within axons and an evolutionary biologist sleuthing mysteries in the nanodynamics of muscle contraction. Peter meanwhile, begins to devise a way to probe thicker, functional cells by transferring Adaptive Optics techniques from astronomy to microscopy.
