Monitoring drug response typically involves a surrogate marker of a direct interaction of a drug with its target. Advances in imaging make it possible to monitor target engagement directly, providing both temporal and spatial information that can be used to predict drug response and optimize therapy. This presentation will highlight the use of modern imaging techniques as biomarkers of drug response.
