Room LL21A (San Jose Convention Center)
James Mah, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, NV
This presentation will explain how 3D imaging and computer modeling are used for the diagnosis and treatment of craniofacial and orthodontic disorders. Dr. Mah, an orthodontist, will discuss how advances in imaging allow for highly detailed understanding of skeletal, dental and soft tissue structures. The impact of 3D imaging on the successful treatment of misaligned dentition and abnormal skeletal structure will be presented. The use of 3D images and models in anthropology and forensics will also be highlighted.
