Quantum information provides us with a systematic way to have a conversation with atoms and molecules. We are just starting to realize the possible benefits. Some have set the goal to build a 100 qubit processor in the next five years. Others want to see quantum communication extended to global scales via satellites. Quantum sensors will continue to be deployed for healthcare, metrology, and natural resources exploration. Long-term predictions are countless and more are still to be imagined.
