ORCID is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an open registry of unique person identifiers for researchers and working collaboratively with the research community to embed these identifiers in research workflows to ensure that researchers and research are connected. We improve our ability to understand the flow of resources and knowledge by connecting research with researchers. This is critical for effective evaluation of research.
