Understanding the Environmental Impacts of Canada’s Oil Sands Expansion

Substantial progresses have been made in the preservation of the environment around the oil sand fields of Northern Alberta. An evaluation of the planned production expansion of these resources, on the other hand, reveals a six-folded pollution and climate change challenge. These issues will be discussed in this presentation.
