Canada’s Oil Sands: An Energy and Innovation Opportunity

The significant energy demands and its growth increase the reliance on hydrocarbons in search for a renewable energy source. Canada’s oil sands and other huge hydrocarbon reservoirs are key factors for sustainable growth in a global perspective. The $55 billion investment in oil industry in Canada in 2012 was a response to the market demand. The large scale impacts of the exploitation of Canada’s Oil Sands in the global market will be discussed.
