EyeWire, the first game to map the brain, has attracted over 80,000 players from 130 countries. By coloring the branches of neurons in electron microscopic images, EyeWirers trace the "wiring" of the retina. Their efforts are already helping neuroscientists understand how the brain perceives motion.
