Surveying Religious People About Science and Scientists

As the principal investigator and sociologist from Rice University for this comprehensive survey, Dr. Ecklund will discuss the methods used to probe how a broad range of religious people understand and think about science, and their perceptions of scientists. She will discuss the uniqueness and value of this kind of survey and her parallel qualitative studies including interviews, focus groups, and case studies from several religious congregations.
