The Bionimbus Protected Data Cloud (PDC) is an open source cloud-based infrastructure for managing, analyzing and sharing large genomic datasets in a secure and compliant fashion. It is designed to support creating commons of biomedical data. The PDC currently contains data from controlled access datasets, such as The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), as well as public access datasets, such as the 1000 Genomes dataset. Researchers can upload their data and analyze it using commonly used pipelines.
