The world’s oceans are interconnected and marine species do not recognize borders. Thus research in ocean science must extend beyond national boundaries to develop a coherent and holistic model of ocean processes to inform international management and governance. Dr Harrison, Director of the School of Policy Studies Queen’s University, will speak to the challenges and importance of ensuring that high quality science is of direct benefit to policy makers, managers, and conservation practitioners.
