Long ago, those of African descent were likened to apes. Professor Eberhardt will discuss research findings demonstrating the continued dehumanization of African Americans in contemporary society. She will discuss the consequences of the Black-ape association and will highlight a potential culprit in maintaining that association: lay notions of human evolution.
