A fast rising, research intensive university in Singapore, NTU is ranked 4th in the 2012 QS Top 50 Under 50 for young elite universities. NTU jumped 11 and 83 places to 47th and 86th position in the QS and THE 2012 World University Rankings respectively. NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, jointly setup with Imperial College London, will admit their first batch of students in 2013. NTU has garnered ~ US$350M competitive research funding in 2011 with more than S$1 billion funding received over the years for NTU’s peak of excellence sustainability research. NTU has secured the majority of the prestigious National Research Foundation Fellows in Singapore. This workshop will discuss world-class research in emerging research areas in NTU .
