Brian Naughton is the Founding Scientist of 23andMe, a personal genetics company that provides genotyping services and conducts genomic research using customer data and survey responses. He has an extensive background in bioinformatics and genetics, and worked on the development of the 23andMe custom chip. Brian will discuss the technologies offered by companies like 23andMe, as well as issues of genetic privacy and commercialization of genomic data.
