The science community online is diverse, decentralized, and expanding daily, spawning a fast-paced, critical, creative, and dynamic conversation. ScienceOnline grew out of annual conferences to support ongoing conversations and innovative ways to promote public engagement with science via social media, academic networks, scientific meetings and Tweetups.
