Room 202 (Hynes Convention Center)
This presentation will provide the perspective of an active science festival director and Science Festival Alliance member. Real world examples from science festivals celebrated in diverse communities across the US will provide a basis for discussion of how the festivals are driving innovation of public programs that are specific to the cultural geography in which they operate. Conversation will then turn to how such innovations are then adapted as a result of communication with other festivals provided by the professional network of the Science Festival Alliance.
