Information technologies (cell phones, videos) are revolutionizing adaptive research and the dissemination of results. Practitioners have learned that extension must be implemented within established social systems to be effective. Depending on the subject matter and target audience, the social intermediaries differ. Videos made by farmers may lead to better adoption, and civil society groups are often key to reaching women.
