Unintentional Diplomats: The Increasing Internationalization of American Scientists

International STI engagement is increasingly occurring across the full range of US institutions of higher education (HE), from community colleges to liberal arts colleges to small universities to the major research-intensive universities. I will discuss a survey of US HE Senior International Officers, examples of how such engagement has impacted international relations, and the potential that such broad engagement has for US science diplomacy.
