Food systems already are stressed in those regions of the world (Asia and Sub-Sahara Africa) most likely to be severely impacted by climate change. The speaker will address specific food supply problems, the outlook for sustaining or increasing crop yields, as well as how improved producer decision-making could lead to better crop, soil, and water management. Also addressed will be needs for improving access to markets and physical infrastructure, including crop storage and transportation.
