Developing a Conceptual Framework for Science Education Standards in the United States

I will outline the process by which the National Research Council developed the document “A Framework for K-12 Science Education”, and will breifly discuss its structure and content, and  the role of this framework in the process of standards development, and for other aspects of implementation of standards.
