The great promise of marine spatial planning cannot be realized without tangible tools for implementation. She will introduce Marine InVEST, a new decision-support tool for modeling, mapping, and valuing ecosystem services provided by coasts and oceans. She will focus on how an ecosystem services approach informs real-world planning by elucidating the linkages between multiple services thereby helping to envision trade-offs and win-wins.
