Africa faces challenges in many areas related to environmental sustainability and human well being. Understanding how knowledge among scientific and technological communities globally may be transformed into meaningful action in nations and across regions in Africa requires an understanding of cultural differences. This presentation will highlight some of these cultural differences in cases involving the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge and recommend strategies for overcoming these differences.
