An intelligence agency sixty years ago would marvel at the information and information processing capabilities available today to nongovernmental organizations interested in monitoring foreign nuclear, biological, chemical and missile programs. This paper will explore the impact of information technologies (the internet, commercial satellite imagery, geospatial information) on the role of nongovernmental communities in promoting nonproliferation.
